The following rules are set forth to establish a minimum set of standards for Combat within the Realms of Solara and all Kingdoms. While these rules are given to promote safety in combat, it is expected that all participants will use good judgment and individual concern for the safety of the participants involved. It should be standard practice to always be aware of one’s own personal safety. Do not commit to an action that will knowingly compromise the safety of your opponent(s).

Universal Rules and Prohibitions
- All armor and weapons must meet the standards of the Realms and any additional standards and/or rules of the Branch’s event / practice.
- Combatants shall inspect their armor and their weapons to ensure they meet safety standards before each combat activity and throughout the battles of the day. Any weapons that are broken must be removed from the field. Any armor that is damaged during the combat must be repaired, if possible, before the combatant may return to the field.
- All weapon types may only fight against the same weapon class.
- Weapons shall be used in accordance with their design. No part of a weapon not specifically designed for striking shall be used to do so.
- For tournaments, the use of a backup weapon in the list shall be determined within the rules of the tournament and may or may not be allowed as stated.
