Upon the determination of the winner of the Tournament of Fire and the Tournament of Ice, the winning contender shall be crowned upon the field of battle as the King and/or Queen.
A feast and/or gathering shall be held in their honor in the evening hours.
Before feast, they shall be clothed in the Robes of their office and take their rightful place upon their thrones.
Their Majesties shall hold Court at their pleasure.
Lords may choose at this time to commit their Allegiance to the new Crown.
Regales of the glory of the day should be had.
Their Majesties may call for a meeting with the Council of Light at their pleasure before the departure and return to the homelands.
Upon the seating of a new Crown, Allegiance is not something sworn to them, but something that is freely given and demonstrated through continued service to your group and membership within Solara and thus, by default to the Crown.
Steadings and individuals are free to state their allegiance publicly if they desire to do so.
Your membership within your local Steading is your demonstration of your Honor and dedication to Solara.
Steadings demonstrate loyalty through their activity within the Council of Light and assisting with the activities, events, operation, and growth of Solara.
Loyal Steadings to the Crown are under the protection of the Crown and receive favor from Them.
Solara does not require fealty nor oaths from its people and the Fire Borne bend no knee to any man.
Fealty is not required for the following reasons:
An oath (fealty) is a very personal matter and there are some who believe that it is reserved for their Higher Power alone.
Fealty is counterproductive to our desire for the formation of new Principalities and Kingdoms as we grow in strength and numbers.
New Principalities and Kingdoms are not required to call for a rebellion and fight their way to their independence. And while we may enjoy a grand war to test the mettle of the newly elevated Principality or Kingdom, if desired, it is not a requirement for their independence.
While the Crown of Solara does not require an oath a fealty, there are times when the words and/or actions of one may constitute Treason against the Fire Borne. It may be treason to the Crown, which is a symbol of the Fire Borne, or to their Steading.
Treasonous actions may include but not be limited to a violation of confidentiality including the sharing of a citizen’s information, Matters of State not ready for release to the Fire Borne, or a violation of Kingdom Law.
Treasonous actions may be met with sanctions against the traitor such as calling for reparation and atonement for the matter up to and including banishment.
Sanctions up to and including banishment are found in the Universal Laws of The Realms.
