The Order of the Golden Lance – Percheron Knights
In times past, a knight demonstrated their prowess and skills on the tilt. Their ability to engage in combat a’Plaisance and a la Guerre while astride their steed demonstrated great skill, great control and discipline.
The Order of the Golden Lance (OGL) is an order within the Knights of Solara who compete in equestrian events.
This order is a Kingdom level order. Members of the order must be recommended by the Earl Marshal of Equestrian to Their Royal Majesties for induction.
Requirements include:
- A minimum of two years competition in equestrian archery, combat, and/or jousting.
- Mastery of horse riding, horse safety, and care of the horse.
- Reasonable knowledge of equestrians, based solely on the determination of the Earl Marshal of Equestrian.
- Proficiency in combat form and adherence to all equestrian safety protocols.
- Ability to teach and train others within the scope of assigned duties by the Earl Marshal of Equestrian.
This is an equivalent to Knights of the Hellbender or other such orders as created for the paths of knighthood.
