Rules that vary from the following may be determined by any Branch during their event or the Crown for Crown events. They will be posted in advance of the combat. (Rules for Unarmored and Pre-Rattan are listed separately).
Target Areas
All areas of the body are targets except for the following:
Feet (1 inch above the ankle and below)
Hands (1 inch above the wrist to the fingers).
The Head / Face / Neck in Unarmored Combat.
Strikes to the face should be telling blows only.
Strikes below the knee should be telling blows only.
Illegal target areas:
Back of the head, neck, back/spine, knees groin with the exception of wrap shots.
All shots from behind an opponent with whom you are not actively engaged. (See Death from Behind).
